Meet your therapist: Vanessa Humphrey, M.S., LCPC, NCC

Ms. Humphrey, obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S., 2008) degree in Psychology from Fisk University, Nashville TN. In addition to undergraduate completed course work through the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2005/2006), and abroad courses from Estudio de Sampere, in Salamanca, Spain (2007). Thereafter she obtained a Master of Science (M.S., 2013) in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Over the past fifteen years, Ms. Humphrey has worked in numerous clinics of various positions such as case manager, mobile crisis worker, utilization reviewer, counseling intern, licensed therapist, and clinical director.

Ms. Humphrey, began her clinical experience working for the Department of Corrections as well as for the County Mobile Crisis Unit in Madison, WI. Since then, she has earned training in working with specific skills related to adult survivors of mass shootings, PTSD for first responders, active military, veterans, and correctional workers. Her specialized training provisions also include experience with Autism, Eating disorders, Fertility, judicial workers, and local academics.

Ms. Humphrey's theoretical orientation is integrated and primarily based on psychoanalytic theory, Trauma-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, Brief Solution Focused, Strategic, and Transgenerational as well as Existential Theories.

Ms. Humphrey is a "foodie", you can find her along with her husband at the grand opening of any up-and-coming restaurant in Las Vegas. She also enjoys yearly trips abroad with her husband and family.
